Tailor made hardware

Hi there!

I am looking for some providers who can create tailor made hardware. I've browsed the forum and found nice hardware builders, but didn't see a mention of one offering a customisation service. I was wondering for instance, where do you guys at Peter's atelier have your own hardware designed?

Hi Libby, I know it would vary depending on several factors, but roughly how much did your custom hardware cost?

Hello Gene, I had to order a minimum of 500 pieces and each piece cost $4.20 usd. plus prototype charges which were a few hundred USD.

Hello, I design my own hardware for my handbag brand Cecily Clune and use Maya Metal in China. Their quality is first class. They can design it with you if it is simple but for more complex designs, I had to use an industrial designer and send the file to them to execute and then it was a process of finding the best practical method of attachments to make it work. It took several attempts but they are very patient. Libby Thomson

They make a mold-I am not sure if this is 3D printed. There is a mold making fee for each prototype variation if it is significantly different . Minor changes to the mold can usually be made however. .
