Hello, I've been seeing some products where the interior of the wallet/pouch is stitched with a thread color different from the exterior (see image). How is this done? Do I stitch the interior to the zipper first, and then the whole thing to the exterior? But then won't the holes from the interior stitching get in the way of the exterior stitching?
Would love some enlightenment. Thanks in advance!
I have no experience with leather zipper wallets like this, and I’m really no expert! But it seems like at 4:11 they only stitch the ends of the zipper so not all around yet, and then at the end the thread/stitches that’s on the dark blue exterior looks like the same beige thread on the interior. So that seems to be the final stitch to assemble everything together
I am almost 100% sure this is machine stitching. You have an upper and lower thread (which is a seperate small spool) in a sewing machine. This way you can use a different color for the outside and inside. I don’t think you can achieve this with saddle stitching.
