I am considering my craft project and need help finding where to buy evercolor leather. Or similar with pressed grain and rubber touch.
Please advise a supplier or tannery which you use.

I recently bought a bundle of "saffiano" hides from Springfield Leather in the US. I have limited experience with this leather and am questioning if it's real! The back looks like some kind of fabric, and there are small areas where you can see there's a layer of leather- or is it vinyl - glued to the fabric. I'm not sure maybe this is part of the process, but I can't make an unlined bag with these, and ... IS IT REAL? Thanks!! I;m only showing the bad parts of the hides. They are truly beautiful colors otherwise !~!
I'm a novice leatherworker, interested in attempting my first bag. My idea is to recreate this bag (the original is PU) and would love some input on whether this seems do-able for a hobbyist (I've been doing leatherwork for a year and am still building skills) and my plans:
• Chrome tan, medium temper
• Body leather: 1.5 mm
• Piping/handle leather: 0.8 mm
• Leather cord insert, 6 or 7 mm
• Reinforcement in the base so it keeps its shape when put down
