Hello, what are your experiences with servomotors, please? I am new to bell skiver, and need to replace old 3phase clutch motor with a 230V one, as I can't run it at my place... Heard about servomotors, but not sure about power, nor brand... Thanks! Juraj

Hi Juraj, I bought a cheaper 'Global' brand bell skiver that had only one servo motor that ran the feed roller and the knife blade. https://www.tysew.co.uk/industrial-sewing-machines/skiving/global-sk111-skiver-skiving?search=skiver
however as you probably know to get any useable results you really need two separate motors. One to control the feed roller speed with the foot pedal, and one for a constant speed of the bell knife. All I did was buy a very similar type motor to what was already on the machine as they were out of stock of what was supplied on the machine. (https://www.tysew.co.uk/industrial-accessories/motors-motor-accessories/jack-jk-513c-silent-energy-efficient-servo-industrial-motor?search=jack%20motor) I then mounted this motor underneath to run a separate belt to the feed wheel pulley. and it works great. I'll attach some photos when I get chance.
Whether or not that motor is recommended I don't know but its working great, i can adjust the constant speed of the knife using the buttons on the control unit and now use the foot pedal exclusively for the feed wheel, its very quiet and the results on the end product are night and day.
granted its a little bit of a hassle but saved a good chunk of money
cheers
